Corona update may 20

Training flights and skydives are allowed again

As announced in the press conference on 14 January, non-medical contact professions are allowed again. This includes flying lessons and skydives.

Passengers can also fly as usual. However, please take into account a number of precautions for your health and the health of our staff.

  • A QR code is not necessary at most locations to fly. Only for the simulator lessons in The Hague a QR code is required. If there is a restaurant at the location, then of course you need a QR code for the restaurant.
  • Face masks are compulsory during the flight. You may also be asked to wear the face mask in the general areas of the flight school.
  • Do not come to the location with too many people. Preferably only the participants (student and passengers) and a possible driver. Do not come much earlier than the agreed time.
  • Make sure you bring an ID (passport or ID card).
  • Do not come to the location if you have a cold or fever.

Questions about Corona

Should I make a reservation already?

Yes, absolutely! March is usually the first busy month of the year. Also there is a backlog of clients that are waiting to fly since the christmas period. A lot of flying lessons are given as a present around those days. If you see a free spot in the calendar, please don't hesitate to book it. We expect very busy weeks.
Also, the validity is extended for all vouchers issued in march 2021.

See our flying experiences on the homepage to get started.

My reservation was before the expected startdate. What do I do?

You can make a new appointment using the reservation page.

Can I change my experience for something else?

Of course, it is always possible to change your experience. Enter your voucher code on the reservation page and choose "Change voucher" to change options or select another experience.

Can I extend the gift card?

If your gift card is still valid, you can extend the voucher. Please note that surcharges apply. Gift vouchers which have already expired cannot be exchanged or extended.

Because of Corona I can't fly, is it possible to get a refund?

Unfortunately not. You are still very welcome to come and fly, but perhaps not when you originally wanted to. There is a leniency policy for the period of validity. Please send us a message stating your gift voucher number for this. Given the large amount of questions, we kindly ask you not to call us about this.

I want to make an appointment, how can I do this?

You can only make an appointment via our Reservation page. Please do not mail or call us, because the appointments are handled by the locations.

It is possible to fly again! A few rules apply. Maximum of 2 persons per session. Keep 1.5 meters distance, outside of the simulator. Disinfect your hands upon entering and wear a mask in the simulator (if you don't have one, you will receive one at the location). The simulator is completely disinfected after each session.

Is it allowed to have passengers?

Is a QR code necessary?

No, you do not need a QR code for most locations. Only in The Hague (static simulator) a QR code is required. For other locations you do not need to be vaccinated or tested.

Flying started 1st of june.

We don't know why this is and will post updates here. Please wait for further information, because this is all we know. Check out this page or follow our Facebook page

Questions about Corona

Are mouth masks compulsory?

Yes, a non-medical mask is mandatory in aircraft. Please also refer to the instruction (NOTAM) that we received for this purpose at - NOTAM A3060/21. This rule is currently valid until january 2022, possibly it will be extended. It is possible that your instructor does not need to wear a mouth mask. For example because his or her glasses could fog up during the flight.

Flying started the 11th of may

Drone lessons take place normally. We can respect the 1,5m distance requirements between you and the instructor.

Flying started the 26th of June, with passengers also

Do we need to wait for vaccinations?

No. Flight instruction is considered a contact profession, like barbers. As soon as these reopen, we can also start flying. You don't need to wait for a vaccination. In fact, we flew a lot between may and december last year.

<p>Please note:</p>

  • Flying schools need to keep track who fly. Make sure that all people boarding the plane can identify theirselves (drivers license, passport or ID card). Flight simulators and dronelessons are excluded.

  • When the staff requests that you wear a mask, we kindly ask you to respect this.

  • If you want to wear a mask when it's not requested, feel free to do so.

  • In case you or your family members have any health complaints (nose cold, coughing, fever or shortness of breath)? You cannot fly. Change your appointment on the Reservation page. All participants must fill out a health declaration.

  • Limit your stay at the flying school. Please come on time, but not early.

  • Respect the hygiene rules: wash your hands, don't shake hands, sneeze or cough in your elbow.

  • Keep 1,5 meter distance, outside of the aircraft.

  • Masks are mandatory for some locations. If this isn't mentioned, you may assume it is not neccessary. In case they are requested, you will get the masks when you come fly.

  • Bring as few people as possible to the flying school. Preferably only the person that is going to fly and a companion.

  • The health rules will also apply for instructors. We do our best to get a working planning. However, it might still be possible that your flight is postponed. We request your understanding for this.

  • From 26th of june, flying with passengers is permitted again. Some locations may need some startup time and will accept passengers from 1st of july. See the table on this page.
