The search area includes the towns San Francisco de Macorís, Cotuí, Nagua, Sabana Grande de Boyá, Sabana de la Mar, Sánchez, Fantino, Las Guáranas, Pimentel, Río San Juan, Las Terrenas, El Factor, Gaspar Hernández, Castillo, Villa Riva, El Valle, Cabrera, Cevicos, Arenoso, Gonzalo, Arroyo Salado, Agua Santa del Yuna, Hostos, Joba Arriba and Majagual. These are the twenty-five largest towns in the area of Nagua, sorted from most to least inhabitants.

All these places are in Dominican Republic.
