Mijn vader heeft vroeger altijd gevlogen. We hadden hem een asntal vluchten cadeau gedaan voor zijn verjaardag. Geweldig om te zien hoe hij opbloeide en op 88-jarige leeftijd nog een keer de lucht in kon. Hij had de dag van zijn leven. Met dsnk asn de ouloot voor de gave foto's
My father used to fly all the time. We had given him an asntal of flights as a present for his birthday. Great to see how he flourished and was able to take to the skies once more at the age of 88. He had the day of his life. With dsnk asn the ouloot for the cool photos

- Warm welcome, friendly tutor, very knowledgable on the aircraft, gave a good sense of safety and within minutes i was able to take the stick myself and fly!

Het was heel erg leuk en we zijn goed begeleid. Soms wel wat lang wachten tussen de vluchten omdat ook andere ingepland moeten worden.
- De totale ervaring en aanwezig zijn dicht bij de actie.

It was great fun and we were well guided. Sometimes a bit long wait between flights because others had to be scheduled as well.

Wij hebben een hele leuke middag gehad met Rodney die ons kennis heeft laten maken met het vliegen van drones en wat daar allemaal bij komt kijken. Was top Rodney bedankt!
We had a really fun afternoon with Rodney who introduced us to drone flying and what it involves. Was great Rodney thanks!

Op vrijdag de cursus gehad en de donderdag erna meteen gevlogen naar Pisa. Het was nog steeds spannend maar ik heb voor het eerst niet gehuild of gefladderd met het opstijgen (heel grappig; ik fladder met mijn handen bij het opstijgen door de spanning tot grote hilariteit van mijn kinderen). Zelfs niet bij het zien van een uitgebreide extra controle en schoonmaak tijdens het instappen omdat er een vogel in de motor was gevlogen bij de landing ervoor. Ik hoorde Theo steeds in mijn hoofd de opmerkingen maken van de vrijdag ervoor. Af en toe had ik zelfs ruimte om wat van de vliegreis te genieten.
Mijn partner was mee geweest naar de cursus en maakte opmerkingen in de stijl van Theo toen dit gebeurde en dat hielp.
Theo had waarschijnlijk snel door wat voor type ik ben; ik houd van een goede uitleg met een grappige ondertoon en mijn eigen waanideeën over vliegen zo onderuit halen. Ik heb al diverse groepscursussen gedaan voor vliegangst maar deze individuele aanpak is voor mij een heel prettige ervaring. Ik heb al mijn vragen en angsten kunnen bespreken en goede uitleg gekregen.
Als ik merk dat de spanning toch weer gaat toenemen dan zal ik zeker nog een keertje met Theo in de simulator de vlucht willen doornemen.

Had the course on Friday and flew straight to Pisa the following Thursday. It was still exciting but for the first time I didn't cry or flutter with take-off (very funny; I flutter my hands on take-off due to excitement to the hilarity of my children). Not even seeing an elaborate extra check and clean-up during boarding because a bird had flown into the engine on landing before. I kept hearing Theo making the comments in my head from the Friday before. Occasionally, I even had room to enjoy the flight a little.
My partner had been along to the course and made comments in the style of Theo when this happened and that helped.
Theo probably quickly realised what kind of type I am; I like a good explanation with a funny undertone and so subvert my own delusions about flying. I have already done several group courses for fear of flying but this individual approach is a very pleasant experience for me. I was able to discuss all my questions and fears and get good explanations.
If I notice that the tension starts to build up again, I will definitely go through the flight again with Theo in the simulator.

Het was een super gave ervaring om 3 keer te mogen vliegen. De laatste vlucht met geweldige thermiek bijna 1 uur gevlogen op 1600 meter hoogte boven Arnhem en omgeving. Heel bijzonder om een dagje deel uit te maken van de zweefvlieg community. Uitgebreide uitleg van de piloot!
- Mooie omgeving, fijne begeleiding en veel kunnen vliegen
It was a super cool experience to fly 3 times. The last flight with great thermals flew for almost 1 hour at 1600 metres above Arnhem and its surroundings. Very special to be part of the gliding community for a day. Extensive explanations from the pilot!

Echt super gaaf, goede en vriendelijke ontvangst. Leuke instructeurs die je op je gemak laten voelen. Waardoor er bij mij geen last van spanning was. Heb heel lang tegen het springen opgekeken maar achteraf heb ik er spijt van dat ik er zo lang mee heb gewacht. Is echt voor herhaling vatbaar.
- De hele ervaring, van het ontvangst, de vlucht, de sprong. Maar zeker de mensen die je begeleiden echt een top dag

Really super cool, good and friendly welcome. Nice instructors who make you feel at ease. As a result, there was no tension with me. I looked forward to jumping for a long time, but afterwards I regret having waited so long. Really worth repeating.

Super leuk om een keertje tedoen. Instructeur nam de tijd om alles uitte leggen zowel op de grond als in de lucht.

Waanzinnig gaaf, lekker ongedwongen en zeer hoog plezier gehalte.

This was another incredible experience for me in a full-motion sim, my third one. I had a 4-hour session where I learnt a ton about the manual maneuvering of the aircraft. Prior to the session I prepared myself during the previous two months with FSLABS as much as I could. All this preparation really payed-off during the session.
We started all systems of the aircraft at Ostend airport, did some touch-and-goes, then headed to Brussels, one more touch-and-go there and a final stop. During this part of the session I could deeply experience how to manually fly the aircraft and gain more experience with engaging the Final Approach mode.
The second part was the incredible one. We started with Munich-Innsbruck and the famous Circle-to-Land approach on rwy 08. We had live weather with lots of clouds, heavy rain as well as some intense turbulence and winds. The weather, the manual flying of the aircraft and the final turn on the valley felt so realistic that I still cannot believe it. Even the instructor made remarks about how realistic the whole thing was. And I made a correct landing. It was truly AMAZING!!!
Then we did Gibraltar, Jersey at night with poor visibility and Santos Dumont in Rio de Janeiro with the steep turn in front of the hill and low altitude next to the sea. All of them were also successful.
Then I wanted to experience a Rejected Take-off and also an Engine Fire right after Take-off. We did both in Nice, France. The instructor guided me through all the steps and everything run very smoothly. Super interesting to experience all that in person.
And we made a final landing in San Sebastian, which was very cool too.
- I couldn't enjoy the entire session more than what I did. It was extremely rewarding.
The instructor was phenomenal. He's very knowledgeable with a ton of experience and a very strong proactive and helping attitude.
The facilities of the company where the sim is located as well as the simulator itself are very well maintained.
Super advisable experience for anyone eager to know how to fly an Airbus. - Just a few small things that didn't work in the sim during the session, but that was really not important. All the rest was top-notch.

Super gaaf. Moeilijker dan verwacht maar wat een heerlijk gevoel. Kijk voor een korte impressievideo op de Instagram van paulinedkievit.
- Goede parkeergelegenheid, ervaren team, straalde rust uit. Je mag meer zelf doen dan ik in eerste instantie had verwacht
- Er was wat miscommunicatie bij het inwisselen van de coupon.

Er had vantevoren wel iets meer uitleg mogen zijn, dat was bij de boeking ook verteld. 20 min uitleg over het vliegen & vliegtuig. En 45 min vliegen.
Echter alleen tanken starten en landen binnen die 45 min.
- Er is rekening gehouden met het grondzicht … als we hoger vlogen was er ivm nevel minder zicht.
- Mij niet enthousiast gehouden om zelf gyrocopter vliegles/ brevet te willen halen. Wat wel de bedoeling was.
Het was meer een productie/ cq business ipv lange termijn.
There could have been a bit more explanation beforehand, which was also told when booking. 20 min explanation about flying & plane. And 45 min of flying.
However, only refuelling, take-off and landing within these 45 minutes. Which was the intention.
It was more a production/ cq business instead of long-term.

- De start en landing waren spannend. Het weer was uitzonderlijk goed dus ik kon heel ver kijken. Plus de instructeurs en mensen waren ontzettend vriendelijk. Prima dagje
- Ondanks het zitje en de parasol heb hé verders niks te eten of te drinken en ec's waren ook relatief ver weg.

- The take-off and landing were exciting. The weather was exceptionally good so I could see very far. Plus the instructors and people were incredibly friendly. Great day
