Do you want more than a standard flying lesson? Are you looking for a luxurious trip? Fly together with an instructor from Kortrijk to the beautiful Le Touquet in France and back. You can bring another passenger.

Location

The flying lesson is flown from Kortrijk in Belgium. From there you will fly to Le Touquet-Paris-Plage and back again. Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is a well-known seaside resort on the Opal Coast of France. You will find there a beautiful environment with spectacular chalk cliffs.

All inclusive

When you have landed in Le Touquet-Paris-Plage we will make a stop. During this stop you can sit back and enjoy a snack and a drink. This is included in the price, so it is an all inclusive package.

For two persons

You fly in a Cirrus SR20, a state-of-the-art aircraft. With this package you can bring one more passenger. At Le Touquet-Paris-Plage you can change your student pilot. So one person flies to France and the other person flies back. You do not pay extra for the passenger; the prices are inlcuding the plane, the food and drink and the landing. You are the only ones flying along.

The maximum weight limit for the plane (for the student and passenger together) is 240 kg and the maximum length is 2.10 m.

Theory

You start with an explanation of the basics of flying. The instructor will answer important questions in this 'briefing'. How does an airplane stay in the air? How do the pedals work? What are all the buttons and gauges for? Of course you can also ask all your questions. Are you coming to the airport together with your partner, friend and/or family member? Then this person is welcome to join you. Then you know what you are going to experience in the air. You do not have to pay extra for this. Of course, this also applies to the passenger.

The theory part takes about 20 minutes.

Practice

After the theory part you go with the instructor to the plane. First you check together whether the aircraft is ready for departure. Then you drive to the runway, this is called taxiing. Through the headphones you can hear the instructor and the control tower. The instructor asks permission from the control tower to take off. And then the time has come! In the air you can fly the plane yourself. You get to do as much as possible yourself. Because of the distance you will travel, this is a unique experience. Of course the instructor will take over if necessary or if you want to look outside and make pictures or a movie.

You can opt for a complete flying lesson with as much hands-on experience as possible, but this can also be less intensive. It is also possible to do nothing at all. You then just have to sit back and enjoy the view.

Duration

The total duration of the package is about 5 hours. The flight time from Kortrijk to Le Touquet-Paris-Plage is approximately 2 hours back and forth. The actual time depends among other things on how busy it is in the air and the wind. There is an additional hour and a half for the briefing, debriefing and various preparations. In Le Touquet-Paris-Plage you have about an hour and a half to enjoy a snack and a drink on the terrace overlooking the air traffic. There is also a nice airport shop if you want to take a souvenir home.

Because of the Corona crisis, your voucher is valid for an extra long time, which is 1.5 years. So you have enough time to make an appointment.
There will only be flown when there is sufficient visibility and when the wind is not too strong.
